The use of high-quality materials enables the valve to be emplo-
yed also outdoors and in chemical atmospheres and in explosive
environments for the conditions specifi ed in the declaration of
conformity.
Confi guration
Type 0590 EEx i consists of a pilot control, Type 6014, and an
aluminium valve casing with plunger/sliding liner combination.
The pilot control valve* operates with a mounted coil**. The coil can
be locked in 4 positions each offset at 90° from one another and
can be positioned anywhere between these four positions around
the core guide tube.
The plunger/sliding liner combination acts as a metallic seal. This
eliminates problems common with elastomer seals subjected
to dynamic loads, such as malfunctions due to swelling seals,
brittleness, etc. The razor-sharp edges of the plunger spool and the
special design of the sliding liner “clean” themselves automatically
of any small and medium-sized soiling.

Installation position: random;
Magnet system mounted in the upper
position prevents deposits settling in the
core chamber and increases the service
life
Before installation, clean the connecting fl ange and pipework
of any soiling
Observe fl uidic supply and working ports
Preferably use PTFE tape for thread sealing
Standard:
Connect pressure port to connection 1 and
vent to connection 3
Exception:
On 3/2-way valve with Namur fl ange
Connect pressure port to connection 3 and
vent to connection 1
