Installation position: random;
Magnet system mounted in the upper
position prevents deposits settling in the
core chamber and increases the service
life
Before installation, clean the connecting fl ange and pipework
of any soiling
Observe fl uidic supply and working ports
Preferably use PTFE tape for thread sealing
Standard:
Connect pressure port to connection 1 and
vent to connection 3
Exception:
On 3/2-way valve with Namur fl ange
Connect pressure port to connection 3 and
vent to connection 1
Electrical Connection of Type 0590 EEx m
Observe the voltage and current type as per the rating plate
Voltage tolerance ±10 %
With DC voltage, observe the correct polarity
Coil has a 3 m long moulded cable
Always connect the PE conductor and check for
continuity
WARNING!
Operate the device only with back-up fuse in
accordance with the PTB certifi cate
Electrical Connection of Type 0590 EEx i
WARNING!
The coil AC 10 with protection type EEx ia IIC T6 in
accordance with PTB 01 ATEX 2101 is designed for
operation at 24 V DC outputs with intermediate related
intrinsically safe device (partition module or barrier)
(see circuit diagram).
Corresponding devices are available from various manu-
facturers (see Bürkert list on suitable “Partition modules
/ barriers for intrinsically safe valves”).
When selecting the device, the resistance of the con-
necting lead between the device and the valve must be
taken into consideration as part of the rated coil resistance
(see table).
Pay attention to the correct polarity when connecting.
Please observe the installation instruction for device
plug sockets!

If the solenoid still does not pick up, the following could be
the cause:
- Short
circuit
- Interruption in power supply
- Blown fuse (in the case of EEx i in the device)
- Core or core chamber soiling
CAUTION!
Risk of damage
Do not use the solenoid coil as a screwing lever and do
not install the valve casing under strain.
Use suitable tools and supports, where necessary.
