Step 4: Registering the device with a messaging centre

To enable your Voicemail Center 461.2 to receive landline text messages, you can register it
e.g. for your network provider's SMS messaging service. The number of Deutsche Telekom's
messaging centre is "0193010" throughout Germany. You can currently register free of
charge. Simply send a text message with the text "ANMELD" to number "8888" from your
Voicemail Center 461.2.

If you are operating your PBX system outside Germany, please ask your network operator
about a suitable messaging centre and the appropriate registration process. You will in any
case need to enter the messaging centre's number in your Voicemail Center 461.2 as
described below.

Voicemail Center 461.2:

Press the Menu key to switch from the Idle
menu to the main menu.

Press the Softkey to the right of option Mes-
sages (SMS)

Use the Control buttons (up/down) to
browse to option SMS center and press the
Softkey to the right of option SMS center.

The cursor to the right of 1.
flashes.

Q

Press the Control buttons (up/down) several
times to enter the first digit of the number for
the messaging centre.

Q

Press the Control button (right) to move to
the next digit.

To make corrections:
Press the Control button (left) to move the
cursor to the left.
Press the

x

Softkey to delete the digit you

have selected.

Q   

Enter the second to seventh digits of the
number as described above (in the example:
0193010, the number of the Deutsche Tele-
kom messaging centre).

Press the Softkey to the right of the number
to complete your entry.

The cursor stops flashing.
