■ Installation in safe area
- The digital indicator for current loops model DIHxx-B must be mounted inside
a housing providing as a minimum ingress protection IP 20 in accordance with
IEC 60529.
- Wiring inside this housing shall be executed in accordance with section 6.3.11 and
7.6.e of the IEC 60079-11.
- Terminals or connectors for the intrinsically safe circuits shall be arranged in
accordance with clause 6.2.1 or 6.2.2 of IEC 60079-11 respectively.
9.3 Specific conditions for safe use of models DIH50-I, DIH52-I, DIH62-I (aluminium,
stainless steel)
■ Installation in areas requiring EPL Gb protection level equipment
(device marking Ex ia IIC T4/T5/T6 (Ga) Gb):
- Due to application, the digital indicator for current loops model DIHxx-B shall be
mounted inside a housing, suitable for installation in areas requiring EPL Gb equipment
providing as a minimum degree of ingress protection IP 20 in accordance with
IEC 60529.
- Wiring inside this housing shall be executed in accordance with section 6.3.11 and
7.6.e of the IEC 60079-11.
- Terminals or connectors for the intrinsically safe circuits shall be arranged according to
clause 6.2.1 or 6.2.2 of IEC 60079-11:2006 respectively.
■ Installation in areas requiring EPL Ga protection level equipment
(device marking Ex ia IIC T4/T5/T6 Ga):
- Due to application, the digital indicator for current loops model DIHxx-B shall be
mounted inside a housing, suitable for installation in areas requiring EPL Ga equipment
providing as a minimum degree of protection IP 54 according to IEC 60529 and
wherein electrostatic charge effects are excluded.
- Wiring inside this housing shall be executed in accordance with section 6.3.11 and
7.6.e of the IEC 60079-11.
- Terminals or connectors for the intrinsically safe circuits shall be arranged in
accordance with clause 6.2.1 or 6.2.2 of IEC 60079-11 respectively.
■ Installation in areas requiring EPL Db, Da protection level equipment
(device marking Ex ia IIIC T120 °C Da or 2D Ex ia IIIC T120 °C (Da) Db):
- Due to application, the digital indicator for current loops model DIHxx-B shall be
mounted inside a housing, suitable for installation in areas requiring EPL Db or Da
equipment providing as a minimum ingress protection IP 6x in accordance with
IEC 60529.
- Wiring inside this housing shall be executed in accordance with section 6.2.4 and 7.6.e
of the IEC 61241-11.
- Terminals or connectors for the intrinsically safe circuits shall be arranged in
accordance with section 6.3.1 or 6.3.2 of IEC 61241-11 respectively.
