Terrestrial

The devices are suitable to transmit DVB-T and DVB-C signals as well as analog signals.

Due to the considerable loss via the TechniRouter, sockets and output cables (tree
distribution), the input level for the DVB signal should be set to an appropriately high level.
Analog signals should be set an additional 15 dB higher. The easiest solution is the use of a
terrestrial broadband antenna.

When the signals of the individual bands come from various directions and cost is not an
issue, we recommend the use of multiple antennas, merged together with a terrestrial
combiner (filter). Different levels can (with limitations) be adjusted to adapt to the size of the
antenna.

5.3 Installation of the Components

Lay out the cable end to end. Bad F-connector jacks can lead to a lot of interference.

For very long subscriber cables (>60 m), install a double in-wall-box after 3/4 of the length.
This way, the cable can be split later for operational integration of an intermediate amplifier.

Use the socket wrench Art. No. 0000/3407 for F-connectors. Only tighten the nuts of the
F-plug to a moderate level.

Do not use any (Insertion-) Quick-F-jacks for rapid connection.

5.4 Calibration

Verification of the Satellite Range

Check the output signals of the LNB, which must be flat over the frequency (< 5 dB drop off).

Short circuits in the subscriber line (or in the TechniRouter) can be diagnosed if the green
LED in the TechniRouter no longer lights up.

The configuration of the receiver is described in point 4.6.

Please note details of the level as well as the signal quality of the channel used. This will
considerably facilitate any possible troubleshooting that has to be conducted later.

Verification of Terrestrial

In the case that weak and strong broadcast stations do not come from the same direction,
try to weaken the signal of the strong broadcast through optimal positioning of the antenna
beam.

When receiving them from the same direction, you can use a level adjustment via one or
more good wave traps. Remember the band allocation, adjust the wave trap with an antenna
measurement device so that the small broadcast stations are hardly affected by noise.

For UKW feed (in a terrestrial combiner connected ahead) an attenuator may be necessary.
