7. Firmware update
If new firmware is delivered, the update can be carried out with the program:

Remote Control Program Version: 1.20
The PCMatic
®
Remote Control Program is intended to represent the screen outputs of the
PCMatic
®
and to update and save firmware data. It is also possible to check the version
status of important firmware files.
7.1 Installation
On the PC side, the 5 files from the programming disk must be copied into a register
(e. g.: "PCMaticRC"). Then the program ksetup.exe must be executed by double-clicking
in Explorer.
The notification appears: "The installation has been completed successfully". After this
has been confirmed with "OK", the program has been installed.
The PCMaticRC program requires the "Host3.exe" program on the PCMatic
®
side.
7.2 Program start
Before calling up a program, the PCMatic
®
must be running, so that automatic card
recognition can take place!
Then start PCMaticRC.exe, enter the password, and then the PCMaticRC window
appears with the program and menu table in the upper part of the screen and the monitor
window in the lower part of the screen.
In the first line the program name and the current PCMatic
®
appear (the program can
serve up to four PCMatic
®-
cards).
The second line contains the various menus whose operation is explained in the following
items.
In the monitor window, all notifications from the PCMatic
®
are shown.
It is possible to use the PC keyboard for inputs only in relation to specific menu points
where a request appears for an entry to be made.
7.3 Menu item "File"
By using the submenu "Version-Info", it is possible to call up the version status of the
firmware files. This also initiates a check that they correspond with the version status
records listed in the PCMaticRC.ini file. By using the "Refresh" button, it is possible to
refresh the display. This is necessary when changing between several different
PCMatic
®-
cards or when the PCMatic
®
is restarted.
Note!! When the "Version-Info" is invoked, the PLC software is halted!!
