Configuring Blueserial in the smartphone
3.2.2.
Note: The following steps are described as an example of the smartphone T-Mobile MDA Compact V
with Windows Mobile 6.1; there may be slight deviations with other smartphones or other versions of
Windows!
Switch on BlueSerial
→
Switch on MDA: On the Start screen click on
→
Settings tab / there click on Connections tab
Select
→
Bluetooth tab (Bluetooth should already be ON, otherwise switch ON)
Screen display: Add new Bluetooth headset: Click on
→
Extended (at bottom edge of screen)
On the
→
Devices tab: "Bluetooth" screen, display: Connected - Add new device / click on Add (at bottom
edge of screen), (MDA searches for and writes found devices on the screen) / select device on screen /
Continue (at bottom edge of screen)
"Select Bluetooth device" screen: Select device on screen / click on
→
Continue (at bottom edge of screen)
"Input password" screen: Input agreed
→
PIN / Continue (wait several seconds!)
On the

Devices tab: "Bluetooth" screen, display: Connected - Add new device as well as
Disconnected - device name(s) / select
Device names by clicking on it
"Partnership settings" screen: If required, change display name using keyboard (e.g. identification number of
→
the corresponding BlueSerial) as well as select "Serial connection" service / click on
Save (at bottom edge
of screen)
Return to "Bluetooth" screen, display: Connected - Add new device as well as Disconnected - device
→
name / here the device name has already been selected / go to
COM connections tab
Click on
→
New outgoing connection / select device / Continue (at bottom edge of screen)
Select any COM connection /
→
Ready (at bottom edge of screen) / click on OK (at top edge of screen)

Switch on BlueSerial

In the

Bluetooth environment search for devices
(procedure varies for the different versions of Windows)
Select and connect corresponding device and input

PIN
storage location of the service-programm (smartphone)
3.2.4.
Create folder (e.g. �8681”) directly under \Programs and copy the corresponding files (EXE, AUT, logo.JPG
→
file) into the folder.
To be able to select the program directly from the Start menu, create an EXE file link and place in the \
Windows \ Start menu.
note:
The Service Program for smartphone cannot function unless “net compact framework 3.5” has
been installed on your smartphone. You can find �NET Compact Framework 3.5” on the Internet on the
official Microsoft homepage; it is provided free.
