1. General

The flame pyrometers INFRATHERM IS 5/F are digital noncontact
temperature measuring instruments in medium and high ranges. They
ascertain the temperature of glowing flames.
The IS 5/F contain a simple integrated control panel, a linear adjustable
current output and a serial interface (alternatively RS 232 or RS 485).
Via interface it is possible to read out the measuring temperature as well
as change device parameters (e.g. soot factor).
The full digital calculation of measuring values guarantees high accuracy.
The device contains a self-test function (e.g. for the internal temperature),
which may be read out via interface.
The analog output may be adjusted to a partial range (range zoom) via
interface without recalibration.
The lens is focussable, an integrated laserpointer or a viewfinder simplifies
device adjustment.
