Response time T90
At response time setting 0.00 the device works with its intrinsic response
time (<10 ms). Longer response times may be useful for averaging over
fast changes of the object temperature.

With DIP-switches 1 and 2 the following response times are selectable:

The selection only takes effect in the offline mode (DIP-4 OFF).

Via interface are additional times may be selected: 0.00 s, 0.01 s and
3.00 s.

n (soot factor)
An accurate non-contact flame temperature measurement is only possible
when the soot factor is known and selected at the device (offline) or
entered via interface (online). The soot factor depends on type of flame
and is available for industrial flames in literature. The value n =1.20 is a
good setting for unknown flames.
The setting range of soot factor at the device (offline): 0.50 ... 1.99;

via interface (online): 0.50 ... 2.50.

The n-switch selection only takes effect in the offline mode (DIP-4 OFF);
illegal selections (<0.50) are interpreted as 0.50.
