Baud rate
The transfer rate of serial interface may be set to the following values:
1200 Bd, 2400 Bd, 4800 Bd, 9600 Bd, 19.2 kBd or 38.4 kBd.
The standard value is 19.2 kBd.
The baud rate may only be changed via interface.

Requirements to the bus-master (RS485)
After an request the bus has to be released within 3 bit-times.
The pyrometer answers latest after 5ms. If no answer happened a
transmission error occurs and the request has to be repeated. On syntax
error the pyrometer doesn't answer.

5. Maintenance

Besides a periodical cleaning of the objective lens there is no maintenance
required.

6. Data Format And Protocol

The data exchange uses the ASCII-format with following parameters:

8 bits, 1 stopbit, even parity (8,1,e)

Each command starts with two characters for the device address AA (e.g.
00“).
After this there are 2 lower-case command letters (e.g. „em“ for emissivity)
followed by - if necessary for the command - one or more ASCII parameters
X“ and finally CR. If more parameters than necessary are added, these will be
ignored. The device answers to questions with the answer + CR (ASCII-code
0D).
To correct parameter inputs the device answers (except for autoreset) with „ok
+ CR, if a parameter is out of range the answer is „no“+CR. No answer is
given to unknown commands.

ττ

stand for product of emissivity, surface coverage and transmission of the
