4. Controls

After removing the both hexagon socket heat cap screws at the rear side
(key width 2.5), the cover can be pulled off. Now the operating elements
are accessible:

Remarks on the parameters:

Mode online / offline
Some parameters (soot factor, response time and mode of current output)
may be controlled at the device. In the offline mode the parameters set on
the control panel are used. Via interface the parameters may be read
only
. In the online mode all parameter settings on the control panel are
ignored; the device uses the adjustments which are stored in an internal
nonvolatile memory. The interface has read and write access to all
parameters.

Setting the analog output to a subrange (range zoom)
This function is only available via interface. It is possible to define a
subrange within the basic range limits. The subrange must cover at least
50 K.
In addition one may select 0...20 mA or 4...20 mA. If 4...20 mA is set the
analog output gives 3.9 mA for temperatures below lower range limit. The
setting to 0/4...20 mA can be changed offline with DIP-switch 3.
