6. Commissioning, operation

6.6 First usage and various operating modes

The model CPH7600 hand-held pressure calibrator is supplied with a special

low-volume calibration hose to enable faster pressure generation and quick pressure

stabilisation. Included in delivery are "Quick-fit" hose connectors and various adapters.

It is recommended that this hose is used in order to achieve the best results. As soon as

the fittings are installed and the calibrator is connected to the test item the calibrator is

ready for use.

The calibrator offers 3 operating modes.

6.6.1 Pressure supply via external compressed air

Turn the "MAIN SELECTOR" rotating selection knob to the left, to P2. The calibrator

can only be supplied with an external air pressure of a max. 8.3 bar on the pressure

connection P1. Via the "REGULATOR" pressure control valve, air pressure to a max.

of 7 bar is delivered through the calibrator to the pressure connection P2, to which the

test item is connected. By turning the pressure regulating valve anti-clockwise, the

pressure in the system is increased; clockwise, the pressure is reduced. The calibrator

simultaneously measures the pressure and indicates this on the display.

6.6.2 Pressure supply via integrated pump

Turn the "MAIN SELECTOR" rotating selection knob to the middle, to P3. The calibrator

can now generate pressure through the integrated electric pump at the press of a

button. Before generating pressure, select whether the pump should generate pressure

"PRESSURE" or should draw a vacuum "VACUUM". With the fine-adjustment knob

"FINE ADJUSTMENT", the pressure can be set very accurately. On the fine-adjustment

knob is the vent valve "VENT". Using this, the pressure can be released, so that the

system is completely vented.

By pressing the pump button "PUMP", the pressure is applied to the pressure

connection P3, to which the test item is connected. As long as "PUMP" is pressed,

pressure will be generated. As soon as "PUMP" is released, the pump will stop running.

After the pump has stopped, it can take a few seconds before the pressure is stabilised.

With the fine-adjustment knob, the pressure can be set very accurately. The calibrator

simultaneously measures the pressure and indicates this on the display. The integrated

pump can generate pressures from -0.8 … +20 bar.

6.6.3 Pressure measurement with integrated sensor

Turn the "MAIN SELECTOR" rotating selection knob to the right, to P4. The calibrator

measures pressure from -0.8 … +20 bar, which is applied on P4.
