4. Design and function
4.4.1 Connection of the model CPT6400 reference pressure sensor
CAUTION!
Only use model CPT6400 reference pressure sensors! Using other
sensors could damage both the precision hand-held pressure indicator
and the reference pressure sensors.
Switch the CPH6400 off before changing sensors.
Before switching the instrument on, connect the sensor, otherwise it
may not be correctly identified by the instrument. The identification of the
model CPT6400 reference pressure sensors can take up to 60 seconds.
For gauge or relative pressure sensors, there is a pressure-equalising
vent in the top of the sensor under the plastic cover. This vent (with
integrated membrane) must remain clear, without fail!
CAUTION!
Only ever use the original WIKA connecting cable in the operation of
CPT6400 reference pressure sensors.
The digital indicator and the reference pressure sensor are connected to each other
electrically using a separate connecting cable. When exchanging the sensor, use the
8-pin plug connector at the sensor.
