Sekunden geöffnet, erscheint im
Display die Meldung „Plattform defekt“
und der Ofen muss mit einem Reset
neu gestartet werden. Nach dem
Neustart kehrt die Beförderungsvor-
richtung wieder in die Ausgangsstellung
zurück, wenn die Schutzklappe ge-
schlossen ist.
Vor Inbetriebnahme unbedingt über-
prüfen, ob die Netzspannung mit den
Angaben auf dem Typenschild über-
einstimmt. Den gradienten-ofen nur
über eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte
und abgesicherte Schutzkontaktsteck-
dose mit dem Netz verbinden. Für den
Anschluss sind die einschlägigen VDE-
Bestimmungen und die Bestimmungen
der örtlichen Elektrizitätswerke maßge-
bend.
Vor Erstinbetriebnahme sollte sicher-
gestellt sein, dass der gradienten-
ofen in einem Raum mit normaler
Raumtemperatur (ca.18-25 °C) und
Luftfeuchtigkeit (ca. <85%) aufgestellt
wird.
Verpackungshinweise beachten,
wie z.B. Folie von Heizbank entfernen.
Weiterhin sollen alle Verbindungen
zum Drucker oder zum PC hergestellt
werden. Nach der Inbetriebnahme wird
die Andruckvorrichtung aus der
Parkposition nach vorne gefahren und
das Gerät durchläuft eine Initialisie-
rungs-
phase. Nach 30 bis 60 Sekunden wird
im Display die Typennummer und
Firmwareversion angezeigt. Wenn
keine Abweichungen erkannt werden,
erscheint im Display das Hauptmenü.
Im Setup Menü werden die Parameter
wie Sprache, Drucker Ein/Aus oder die
Abkühltemperatur eingestellt. Siehe
auch Kapitel Geräteparameter.
5.1 Inbetriebnahme
Der Ofen ist auf einer ebenen Unterla-
ge aus nicht brennbarem Material auf-
zustellen. Der Abstand der Rück- und
Seitenwände muss mindestens 50 mm
zu angrenzenden Wänden und Geräten
betragen.
Die Funktion der Kühlschlitze darf nicht
beeinträchtigt werden.
Die beim Erwärmen des Gutes entste-
henden Dämpfe müssen aus dem
gradienten-ofen über nicht brennbare
Abgas- bzw. Abluftleitungen abgeführt
werden. Hierzu dient der Anschluss-
stutzen an der Geräterückseite, an den
eine geeignete Abluftleitung, z.B.
Aluminiumwellschlauch, angeschlossen
werden muss.
5.2 Schutzklappe
Vor der Eingabe – und Ausgabe
Öffnung befindet sich eine Schutz-
klappe, die während der Beförderung
des Bleches vor und nach der
Heizphase geschlossen sein muss.
Wird die Klappe geöffnet, während sich
die Beförderungsvorrichtung in Bewe-
gung befindet, wird der Motor sofort
gestoppt. Die Beförderung wird erst
wieder fortgesetzt, wenn die Schutz-
klappe geschlossen ist.

an even support made of a non-
inflammable material. The distance
between the rear and the side panels to
walls and other instruments shall be at
least 50 mm.
In no case the function of the air ducts
shall be impaired. The fumes which
develop through the heating of the
samples shall be dissipated from the
gradient-oven through non-inflammable
gas-exhaust pipes or air-outlet
conduits. For this purpose a suitable
air-outlet conduit, e.g. a corrugated
pipe made of aluminum, has to be
connected to the connecting branch at
the rear side of the instrument.
5.2 Front Shutter
In front of the opening a front shutter was
added, which has to be in the closed
position while the panel holder carriage is
moving before and after the heating phase.
In case the shutter is opened while the
carriage is moving the motor will be
stopped immediately. The carriage will
start moving again, as soon as the shutter
is back in the shut position.
5.1 Installation and Start-up
In case the front shutter remains in the
open position for more than 20 seconds
during carriage operation, the display will
show the error message “platform defect”.
The gradient-oven has to be reset when
this error message occurs. Upon restart
the carriage will return to its initial position
when the front shutter is in the closed
position.
Before putting the instrument into
operation please make sure that the
nominal tension given in the label on the
instrument corresponds to the nominal
tension of the mains socket. The gradient-
oven shall only be connected to the electric
mains by a properly installed and fused
socket with protective ground contact. The
relevant regulations of the VDE (Verband
deutscher Elektrotechniker - German
Electrical Engineering Association and the
regulations of the local power station shall
serve as rules for the mains connection.
Before the initial start-up please make sure
that the gradient-oven is set up in a room
with normal room temperature (approx. 18
- 25° C) and humidity (approx. < 85 %).
Observe the packing instructions such as
“Remove film from heating bank”. Also all
connections to the printer or to the PC shall
be made. Upon having put the instrument
into operation the sample pressure device
is moved from its parking position to the
front and the instrument starts an
initialization phase. After 30 to 60 seconds
the display shows the type no. and the
firmware version. If no discrepancies are
made out, the main menu will appear on
the display.
In the SETUP menu such parameters like
language, printer on/off or the cooling
temperature are selected. Please also refer
to the instrument’s parameters.
