Tuning to TV stations

When you select the "country," the ATS
euro plus tuning function searches for
and stores those stations that broad-
cast in the respective country.
You can choose from different coun-
tries.
If your country is not included in the list
of countries, select the "??" setting.

Now check to see if you are satisfied
with the order in which the TV stations
are allocated.
In the case of stations that transmit
VPS/PDC signals, the indication

appears and the recorder automatically
stores the station identification abbre-
viation.

4. Starting the ATS euro plus tuning
function

The ATS euro plus tuning function
starts.
» ATS + « appears in the display
of the recorder.
The scrolling symbol » 0 « in the display
of the recorder indicates that the re-
corder is searching.
The recorder searches for all channels
on which TV stations are broadcasting,
sorts, and stores them.
After a short period of time, the re-
corder has completed the ATS euro
plus tuning function.
» OK« appears in the display of the re-
corder.

Changing and Adding Programme Positions
This chapter will tell you how to ...
… change the order of the programme positions
(see point 1);
… enter the station identification abbreviations, Teletext page
numbers and subtitle page numbers when they are not
provided by the TV stations (see point 2);
… finetune the picture, if it is necessary
(see point 3);
Preparation
Switch the TV set on.
Select the AV programme position for the recorder on the
TV set.
You can check the settings on the TV screen.
Pull out the second level of the remote control.
… delete the data of a programme position (see point 4);
… activate the programme position for an external decoder
(see point 5);
… activate the SECAM colour standard (see point 6);
… tune to a "new" TV station using manual search
(see point 7);
… manally tune to a TV station (see point 8).
