9.3 Specific conditions for safe use model TIFxx-I

Installations in areas requiring equipment with EPL Ga or Gb protection level require:
The ambient temperature range and temperature class of the transmitters and indication
equipment fitted must be specified in the manufacturer‘s instructions from WIKA, unless
they are stated on the product label.

Installations in areas requiring equipment with EPL Da or Db protection level require: The
maximum surface temperature of the transmitters and indication equipment fitted must
be specified in the manufacturer‘s instructions from WIKA, unless they are stated on the
product label.
All special conditions for the safe use of the built-in intrinsically-safe transmitters, which are
not covered by this certificate, must be stated within the manufacturer‘s instructions from
WIKA.

10. Maintenance and cleaning
10.1 Maintenance
The field instruments described here are maintenance-free.
The electronics are completely encapsulated and incorporate no components which could
be repaired or replaced.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
10.2 Cleaning
CAUTION!
■
Prior to cleaning, switch off and disconnect the instrument from the mains.
■
Clean the instrument with a moist cloth.
■
Electrical connections must not come into contact with moisture.
