2.6 DCOM-OPC
By using this filing card, it is possible to implement user authorisations for the individual
OPC servers.
Instruction Description
Enable Remote
Access
By placing a tick in this box, the requirements for remote access to this
system are activated.
Registered User
All recognised users of the system are listed in this box.
OPC Server
By using the selection list, it is possible to choose the appropriate OPC
server. The list in the box below includes all users who are authorised
for this OPC server.

The selected user from the list “Registered User” is authorised for the
chosen OPC server.
<-
The selected user from the list “OPC Server” is removed from the list of
authorised users and is no longer permitted to make access to this OPC
server.
Name/ Password/
Domain
Gives the user name which is to be used when logging on to another
computer in the network.
These settings are used if the PCMatic device communicates via DCOM
or FTP with another network computer. The authorisation of the
applications which are called up is checked on the remote computer by
means of the user name, the password and the domain.
OK
The changes are adopted and the Config Manager is closed down.
Cancel
The changes are rejected and the Config Manager is closed down.
Apply
The changes are adopted and the Config Manager remains opened.
