5 Web server
All necessary setting for “external access” to the device can be changed via the Web server.
If DHCP is not available, it will be necessary to configure an appropriate IP address and the
related subnet mask for the network.
If the system’s IP address is not known, it is possible to obtain details of it by double clicking on
the network icon in the task bar of the CE system.
5.1 The first contact
The PCMatic Web is accessible via any preferred HTML browser. After entering the address of
the terminals (e.g. “http://192.168.10.15”), the user is transferred immediately to the start page.
The start page offers two links.
• Configuration
• View VWOPC directory
5.2 The configuration area
This is the most extensive area. It is further subdivided into the following points:
• Remote OPC User > Record and delete users on the PCMatic device
• Basic Web settings > Web basic settings
• Virtual Web paths > View and process virtual Web paths
• Network settings
> Network settings, device name, DHCP, TCP/IP
• Remote commands > remote execution of instructions on the PCMatic device
In this case it is recommended to set up a user-dependent access system, so that it is not possible
for every user to manipulate network settings and user authorisations.
It is possible for registrations to be saved from this location.
5.3 The overview of the VWOPC files
At this location it is possible for the data on the OPC servers to be viewed as XML files. The
binary data of the PLC can also be copied from this location to the desktop system.
