3.6.1 Levelling the head station
When you have finished configuring all the cards, connect your professional measuring device to
the base unit operating output and adjust the output levels of all the channels to the correct level
setting, as in the following diagram.

Adjust all the signal parameters related to performance e.g. C/N (PAL), MER and BER
(QAM) to the quality you want and log them.
Observe the permitted useful signal level in the internal distribution network as described in
section 6.3 at all times.
