3.9 SkyCable 8PSK/PAL CI TWIN card (0000/5962)
3.9.1 Brief description
The 8PSK/PAL CI TWIN card is used to demodulate two QPSK or 8PSK satellite signals in
MPEG-2, enabling them to then be processed into two analogue PAL signals for the 100 MHz to
860 MHz frequency range. The use of a CA module with a suitable Smartcard also allows the
channels to be decoded directly on the card.

This card can only be operated in the TechniNet BS4 base unit as it does not have its own power
supply or control panel and cannot supply voltage to an LNB. Operating and controlling the card is
only possible via the programmable remote control or a special PC software application.
