3.5 Connecting the sensor supply
Connect encoder supply for rotary encoder, proximity switch, etc.
to the contacts 7 and 8. However, do not use encoder supply for
unearthed inductors or capacitive loads.
The sensor supply is not short-circuit proof.

3.6 Connecting the interfaces (Option)
The serial interface is capable of executing the following functions:
-Accessing data
-Programming parameters
Interface parameters include:
-Data transmission rate (baud rate),
-Parity bit,
-Number of stop bits
-Address used to access the tachometer from a master computer.
These interface parameters can be set on the programming level
(lines 51, 52, 53 and 54).
The following standard interface types can be connected to the
tachometer:
-RS422
-RS485
Interface characteristics
RS422 Full duplex transmission with the characteristics:
- Symmetrical
- 4 lines
- Multiple point connection - 1 transmitter and 32 receivers
- Data transmission length max. 1500 m
➜
Assign terminals 22 (TxD+), 23 (TxD-), 24 (RxD+) and 25 (RxD-)
accordingly.
RS485 Semi-duplex transmission with the characteristics:
- Symmetrical
- 2 lines
- Multiple point connection - 1 transmitter receivers (max. 32 appl.)
- Data transmission length max. 1500 m
➜
Assign terminals 22 (T,R+) and 23 (T,R–)
accordingly.
