- With mechanical damage to the original

parts of the pump, it is necessary to call an

authorised maintenance service or install

spare parts from the pump manufacturer.

- Dismantling of the pump must be

implemented according to defined rules:

a) The lock valves on the pressure and

suction sides must be closed.

b) The electrical supply must be switched

off.

c) The medium in the system must be

cooled to a temperature that is not

dangerous for work.

d) Additional connections to the pipe

should be removed.

e) The screws between the pump casing

and the driving generator should be

unscrewed and the two separated.

f) With damage to the pump casing,

loosen the screws on the flanges of the

piping and separate the entire pump

from the system.

g) With excessive corrosion on the

connection contacts, apply any

anticorrosive agent for removing rust.

- The dismantling must be completed in the

correct sequence without using excessive

force, as damage can occur to parts where

no damage has yet occurred.

- Damage to the mechanical seal is a sign

that it should be replaced entirely. During

dismantling care should be taken not to

damage the contact patches and seats

were the mechanical seal is fitted.

- If there is damage to parts that are

functionally important for the sealing of the

mechanical seal, it is necessary to change

them with the original manufacturer’s parts.

Before re-fitting the mechanical seal, all

contact surfaces should be cleaned from

dirt and impurities.

- It is necessary to control the installation

measurements, as well as the seal meas-

urements, centreline, and the parallelism

between the shaft and the casing.

- The shaft must be treated within the

Rmax 5 ľm (Ra max=0.8 or N6) values,

other surfaces that are important for the

incorporation must be treated better than

Rz 10 ľm (Ra max=2.5 or N7/N8).

- All edges, plates, and part surfaces coming

into contact with the mechanical seal must

be smoothened or rounded (e.g. 2 mm x

30 degrees by DIN 24960)

- Assembly must be implemented very

carefully in a clean environment.

Constraints should not be used, as there is

a danger of plastic deformation, cracking,

and breakage of the ceramic material.

- The installation or dismantling sequence of

the mechanical seal should be adapted to

the pump construction.

- To reduce friction during installation all

plate rubbers that are laid on the shaft

should be moistened with water or alcohol,

or they should be covered with silicone

grease.

- There are special instructions for storage

and handling of elastic materials: Natural

rubber must not come into contact with

mineral based oils and lubricants!

- The stator is not foreseen for plastic

deformation as breakage can occur.

- Flat surfaces must not be unclean or soiled

with oils, but must be dry, dust free and

carefully installed.

- For the MG variation, the elastic materials

should be moistened with water and

pushed circularly onto the shaft. Oils and

lubricants must not be used! Pressure may

be applied only to the edges of the rounds

parts. After installing all the parts, it is

necessary to check if the seal has adapted

well.

- The regulatory materials do not require

maintenance if we know the overlap

position. A forcible circulation of the pump

where the seal is installed is necessary

with warm medium to prevent deposits on

the single seals in a compressed state.

- All the air in the seal casing for internal

use must be carefully bleed out, and

the mechanical seal must be completely

submersed in the medium (there can be no

dry run!).

When ordering spare parts contact the

manufacturer or a maintenance service

and include the pump type, serial number,

the necessary part or half product for

replacement, and the desired quantity in your

order,
