3.
Non-authorized use of the LFC / LFM Types 8718,
8719 / 8708, 8709 may be a hazard to people,
nearby equipment and the environment.
The LFC Types 8718 and 8719 are designed for con-
•
trolling the flow-rate of clean and low-viscosity liquids.
The LFM Types 8708 and 8709 are used exclusively for
•
measuring the flow-rate of clean and low-viscosity liquids.
Only the fluids stated on the rating plate and on the
•
calibration report may be used for operation.
If used outdoors, the device must be protected from
•
the elements. Protect against humidity and direct sun-
light and observe the permitted ambient temperature.
During use observe the authorized data and operating
•
conditions specified in the contract documents and
operating instructions as well as the range of applica-
tions described in
Chapter
7. Technical Data.
Correct transportation, correct storage and installation,
•
and careful use and maintenance, are essential for reli-
able and faultless operation.
Use the device only as intended.

3.2.
The LFC / LFM Types 8718, 8719 / 8708, 8709 must not
•
be used for controlling / measuring the flow-rate of fluids
containing particles (particle size > 20 µm).
Do not operate the device without the stainless steel mesh
•
filter disc installed at the factory.
Do not feed any other fluids into the system other than
•
the designated operating fluid indicated on the device
type plate.
Exception: Agent for cleaning and decontaminating the
device (see also Chapter
10.2.1. ).
In doing so, observe the resistance of the materials used
in the device.
The Chemical Resistance Chart can be found on the
Internet at:
