Electrical connections on the rear of the unit

All electrical connections are on the rear of the unit. Con-
nectors with screw terminals are fitted to the male connec-
tor. The connectors can be removed and combined into
appropriate connection groups for easier installation.

The conductor cross-section that can be used in the con-
nectors is 0.14 ... 2.5 mm², with ferrules: 0.5... 1.5 mm².

5.3.1 Power

supply

A voltage between 18 and 30 V DC is required to operate the PI 6000. The unit is
ready for use immediately if connected to the power supply. The unit does not have
an on/off switch; the power supply must be interrupted to switch off the unit.

Note: The power supply to the PI 6000 is also used as the supply for the
measurement pyrometer and the analogue alarm pyrometer, both for the
two-wire and the 4-wire version.
