5.3.5 Switched

outputs

Four semiconductor switched outputs are
available (maximum load 50 V DC or 36 V AC,
0.2 A). These outputs can be used, e.g., for the
automatic control of sequential control proc-
esses

• "safety shut-down" contact (emergency

stop) closes if the temperature measured by
the alarm pyrometer exceeds the alarm
temperature set.

• "ready" contact (program complete) closes

after the completion of the control program
for a definable period.

• "generator on" contact closes when the

control program starts and opens again
when it is complete.
If a value is stipulated for the minimum gen-
erator level, the signal for switching on and
off the generator is provided using this con-
tact (shown dotted).

• "program start" contact (program running)

closes as soon as a control program has
been started and opens again once the pro-
gram is complete.

You will find the information on the control of
the switching outputs in section 6.6.5 Ad-
vanced program settings for the InfraWin
software.

5.3.6

Program remote control

By briefly connecting connections 3 and 10,
e.g. using a button (momentary contact >100
ms), the control program currently selected can
be started and then stopped by making the
connection again.

5.3.7 Controller

output

The analogue controlled variable signal is
provided on terminals 26 and 27 using a 0 or
4 ... 20 mA output that is electrically isolated
from the power supply (for information on
setting see 6.6.5 Advanced program set-
tings
).

To operate generators that cannot be regulated
down to zero, a threshold can be set for the
controlled variable below which the unit
switches from continuous control to on-off
control. In this case the "generator on" switch-
ing output provides the corresponding signal
for switching on and off the generator.
