Program selection: switch through the available control programs in sequence.
The number of the program currently selected (1 to 9) is indicated in the display above the button.
Start the control program defined using the program selection.
If no program data have been saved, or a pyrometer is not connected, it is not possible to start a
program.
Indicator LED above the button: illuminates when control program is started.

(2x)
Stop a control program that is running (press once) or cancel it (press twice).
If a control program is stopped, the actual temperature is maintained and the PI 6000 continues to
control the temperature. You can continue the control program from the point where it was inter-
rupted by pressing the Start button.
Indicator LED above the button: - Illuminates if a program is not running or the program has been
stopped.
- Flashes alternately with the Start button LED when a program
has been interrupted.
cancel
alarm
The button is only active if an alarm pyrometer is connected to the controller and the alarm has
been triggered by the temperature exceeding the temperature set. In this case the temperature
display on the PI 6000 indicates a temperature 1° below the start of the pyrometer's measuring
range (set).
All other buttons are then inactive and can only be used again when the alarm has been cancelled
by pressing the "cancel alarm" button.
Indicator LED above the button: Illuminates when the alarm has been triggered.
Switches on and off the targeting light of the measurement pyrometer (if it has this feature). This
function is only available when a control program is running if the pyrometer can also measure
with the targeting light switched on.
Indicator LED above the button: Illuminates when the targeting light is switched on.
7.3
Main display / controller activity display / program selection
The display provides the following information:
Main display: The temperature actually measured by the measurement pyrometer (depending on the setting
in the InfraWin software in °C or °F) and a few special indications (see 7.3.1 Special indications).
Controller activity: If all diodes illuminate, the controller is at the top limit, no deflection signifies no activity.
An even, low fluctuation signifies reasonable control activity.
Program selection: The selected control program is displayed on the right.
