Other features of the InfraWin software

On the Start menu in the software there are other settings that can be used to set the parameters for the
connected pyrometer or to save and analyse the data measured.

7.4.1 Pyrometer

parameters

Using Pyrometer parameters all default values
for the digital measurement pyrometer can be
read and changed, if necessary.

The settings depend on the pyrometer type, for this reason
please refer to the related pyrometer operating instructions for
a detailed description of the settings.

The Pyrometer parameters windows contains a "Test" button.
This button opens a window for direct communication only
with the pyrometer (not with the PI 6000) using the interface
commands (see UPP

®

table in the instructions for the meas-

urement pyrometer connected).

Note: The setting for the emissivity

ε or emissivity

slope K in the PI 6000 programming window over-
write the actual

ε and K settings for the pyrometer.

7.4.2

Measurement (colour bar)

The measurement pyrometer can be accessed directly
using this window. It displays:

• Actual temperature measured, graphically in the form

of a colour bar and numerically

• Measuring range and sub-measuring range set

• File size and number of values measured during the

actual measurement

• Emissivity ε

• The actual temperature inside the unit (T

int

)

• Minimum (T

min

) and maximum values (T

max

)

The colour bar indicates the measuring range or sub-measuring
range for the measurement pyrometer. You can set the limits for the
bar colour change by entering temperature values in the white
boxes to the left and right of the colour bar, or by dragging the
dashes beside the colour bar using the mouse. At temperatures
inside the two limits, the bar is displayed in green, outside of the
limits in red.
In the window there is also a box for the emissivity

ε. If the emissiv-

ity is changed, any related temperature change can be read di-
rectly.
The laser targeting light ( ) can be switched on and off if the
pyrometer is equipped with this feature.
