Introduction This section describes the following:
• Vanguard 6435/6455 enclosures
• Motherboard
• Front panel
• Rear panel
Enclosure The Vanguard 6455 fits into a low profile enclosure that can be used on a desktop or
mounted into a standard 19-inch equipment rack. The Vanguard 6455 enclosure
contains a 110/220 Vac power supply with the power switch and receptacle on the
rear panel.
The Vanguard 6435 fits into a compact, low profile enclosure case, designed for
desktop or shelf installation. Its enclosure consists of two pieces:
• Lower base section with vent openings.
• Top cover section which is attached to the lower base section.
The enclosures contains a motherboard and (optional) daughtercards. With the
Vanguard 6450, the enclosure can also hold up to two (optional) option cards.
Front Panel Figure 2-1 shows Vanguard 6435 and Vanguard 6455 front panels.
