Modifying Your Vanguard 6435/6455
Installing/Removing Vanguard 6455 Option Cards
Introduction This section explains how to install an optional Option Card into a Vanguard 6455
enclosure. (Option Cards do not operate in a Vanguard 6435.) For a detailed
description of the SDB 4-Port Sync/Async card, including information about DIP
switch settings, turn to the “Vanguard 6455 Option Cards” section in Chapter 2.
Instructions Figure 3-15 explains how to install an Option Card into a Vanguard 6455.
Warning
To prevent injury, be sure to power down the unit and disconnect the power cord
before you remove the Option Card.
