Installing The Vanguard 6435/6455
Installation Figure 3-3 explains how to install a Vanguard 6455 into an equipment rack.

Attach the brackets to the chassis: the front brackets to
the side that will be in the front of the rack and the
straight, extension brackets to the side that will be to
the rear. Be sure the screws are tight.
At the front of the rack, attach the brackets to the rails.
Be sure the screws are tight.
At the rear of the rack, attach the mounting brackets to
the extension brackets. Use the large or small
mounting brackets as needed. Adjust the mounting
brackets until they line up with the rails. Tighten the
screws to the extension bracket and then to the rails.

Note: Do not remove the rubber
feet from the bottom of the
enclosure. The rubber feet
prevent multiple Vanguard
6455
s from being stacked
too closely (and restrict air
flow).
For racks smaller than 24”, use the
small mounting brackets in the rear.
