Modifying Your Vanguard 6435/6455
Introduction You can modify your Vanguard 6435/6455 by adding or replacing components on
the motherboard. In addition, if you have a Vanguard 6455, you can add and replace
Option Cards. This section explains how to make these modifications.
Daughtercards You can install up to three Vanguard Daughtercards in the Vanguard 6435/6455.
• For information about installing a standard Vanguard Daughtercard, refer to
the Vanguard Daughtercard Installation Guide (Part Number T0020).
• For information about installing an Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercard, turn to
“Installing/Removing Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercards” section on
page 3-27).
Note
When installing a Vanguard Daughtercard into a 6435/6455, you must use the
shorter two-sided header. The taller header is used with other Vanguard units.
