2.3 PCM Control

This filing card is present only if a Soft-PLC (PLC) facility is installed
on the system.

This filing card defines the PLC program file which configures PLC, selects the PG interface and
starts or displays the control panel.

Instruction Description

Load on PLC start

This check box determines whether the PLC should automatically be
started simultaneously with the booting up of the system (if the tick is
present) or whether it should be started manually (if the tick is not
present).

Path (Datei)

This box defines the name of the PLC program file. When delivered
from the factory, the file “s7.bin” is entered and present (demo program).

Store

Saves the current PLC program in the file indicated under Path. The old
program is overwritten at the same time!!

Load

Loads the PLC program from the file indicated under Path into the PLC.
The program currently in the PLC is deleted at the same time!!

PG Interface

This ComboBox determines the PG interface which is to be used. It
allows a choice to be made between TCP/IP, COM1 and COM2. The
new interface is available only after the system has been restarted.

PCM Control Panel

This button allows the PLC to be started (the button is labelled “Start...”
), or if it has already been started, the “PCM Control Panel” is displayed
(the button is labelled “ Show...”).

OK

The changes are adopted and the Config Manager is closed down.

Cancel

The changes are discarded and the Config Manager is closed down.

Apply

The changes are adopted and the Config Manager remains opened.

If the field bus is not configured with the PG (“Enable field bus
diagnostic and configuration” in “Advanced PLC Settings” is not
activated), “Load” and “Store” refer purely to the PLC program. The
configuration data of the PLC and of the field bus are not taken into
account. It will be necessary to load these by using an appropriate PG
software/ field bus configuration facility.
