The following section provides an overview of various useful programs contained in the
operating system Windows CE. The presentation of these programs is in this case limited to
the most important elements:
• Starting up the programs
• Short description/ Application examples
• (Where applicable) special advice for the PCMatic device
• (Where applicable) references to the original documentation of Microsoft® (MSDN)
8.1 Active Sync
Call up Windows ® start menu→Programs→Active Sync
Description Used for the synchronisation of files between PCMatic device and a
desktop computer. The installation of software is, for example, usually
possible by using ActiveSync on a CE device.
Advice The connection used is set up in the menu “Settings →PC Connection”.

8.2 cemgrc
Call up Console window →Execute the file “cemgrc.exe” with the command line
parameters preset in the Embedded Tools.
Description Synchronisation tool for the CE platform manager (Microsoft Embedded
Tools, e.g. "Embedded C++"). Depending on the settings chosen on the
development computer, additional command line parameters may be
