The correct size of the reflective tape can be calculated as follows:

The angle of the reflector against the sensor axes must be within

15°.

In some application it could happen to mount a shorter reflective tape as the measuring range.
Never mind as long as you choose a mode, so that the output current is changing when the ob-
ject is moving. For such cases it is also possible to optimize the measuring range with the
teach-in procedure.
