Solution

The DVB-S signal
temporarily
disappears

Your channel frequency is
used (most common cause of
periodic failure)

Another user performs a

setup procedure.

Atmospheric conditions affecting

Select another free channel using
manual frequency input selection or via
list selection

Operational voltage
(LNB voltage from
the trunk lines) is too
low

Over long stretches, the voltage
drops via the cable, components
and sockets may be too high

How is the current load of the power

supply?

Have you (for larger systems)

excessive voltage drops?

Nothing received at
certain polarization
planes

Individual LNB connections or
trunk lines may be mixed up or a
central wire is too short.

Check the allocation and plugs.

Verify the signal directly with the LNB

feed cables (with the receiver in
Quattro-LNB mode)

Channels lacking or
poor signal reception
at the top end of the
bandwidth

You must determine whether the
level disparity occurs before or
after the TechniRouter:

Before: Transponders of around

12.7 GHz are bad.

After: Channel frequencies of

around 2096 MHz are
bad.

Check the signal directly at the LNB

and subsequently at the input of the
TechniRouter.

Also check your satellite level

calculation

Check the socket or splitter cabling of

the output cable

Moiré or noise for
terrestrial analogue
TV picture, programs
missing or “blocks”
for DVB-C or -T

Input level is either too high

or

too low.

Measure and check your terrestrial

level calculation, and adjust the level
(see Point 5.2). Remove the
intermediate amplifier 9Z from the
terrestrial section on a temporary
basis.

Use a terrestrial preamplifier.

“Interference” in the
terrestrial analogue
TV picture

Earthing of the individual
components carried out at
varying potentials (ripple pickup).

Remove individual earthings (initially

on a trial basis), not including those on
the initial device.

This effect can also be caused by

additional devices connected to the
receiver with a protective ground or
other (earthed) receiving antennas
may cause this effect (rarely).

If the PIN code is used, you will be unable to exchange the unit with another
TechniRouter (unless the receiver is reprogrammed).
When ordering replacements due to the need for repair, please always quote the
serial number.
