6. Commissioning, operation
Connect mV-sensor
Make sure that the mV-sensor is connected with the correct polarity.
6.3 Configuration
The following parameters can all be configured: sensor model, sensor
connection, measuring range, signalling as well as parameter (see
data sheet TE 12.03). The transmitters are delivered with a basic
configuration or configured according to customer specifications
within the given configuration possibilities. With the later case, input
and measuring range is given in clear text on the rating plate. If the
configuration is changed, the modifications must be noted on the
rating plate using a water-resistant felt-tip pen.
A simulation of the input value is not required to configure
the T12.
A sensor simulation is only required for the functional test.
Configuration via a PC
To configure the transmitter, both WIKA_T12 configuration software
and a programming adapter (PU348 Programming Unit) are needed.
Therefore WIKA offers an optional configuration set for the T12 (order
no.: 3634842), consisting of the following components:
■
Programming adapter (PU348 Programming Unit) for connecting a
Windows-PC to the transmitter
■
Connection cable, RS232-C
■
Connection cable PU348 ⇔ Transmitter
■
Plug adapter (25-pin to 9-pin sub-D-plug)
■
Configuration software WIKA_T12 (suitable for Windows 98/
NT/2000/XP)
For further important information on the WIKA_T12
configuration software see chapter "7. WIKA T12
configuration software".
