6. Commissioning, operation
6.3 Connection of programming adapter (PU348)
WARNING!
■ Configure the transmitter, the programming adapter
and the PC outside the hazardous area.
■ Yellow and green are connected only if configuration
of the T12 is to be made when the transmitter is
on-line.
■ For parameterisation in the workshop, no additional
power supply is required; The power is supplied via
a 9 V battery built in to the Programming Adapter
(Programming Unit).

The connection should be made in accordance with the above
diagram. The red crocodile clip must be connected to the positive
terminal of the transmitter, while the black crocodile clip must be
connected o the negative terminal of the transmitter. The green
and yellow crocodile clips only need to be connected where the
measuring signal should be further transmitted to a connected
evaluation system.
