description

Temperature limiters (TB) and temperature monitors (TW) are used in systems to monitor if the
measured value goes below or exceeds the set limit value AL in thermal processes.
This exceedance of the limit value is indicated by the installed LED K1 (red) and the installed relay output K1 switches the sys-
tem to an operational safe status (alarm range).

1.1

Temperature monitor (TW)

The temperature monitor is a device, which is automatically reset after response when the probe temperature is gone below/
exceeds the set limit value AL by the switching differential.

1.2

Temperature limiter (TB)

The temperature limiter is a device, which is locked after response.
Manual reset is possible when the probe temperature is gone below / exceeds the limit value AL by the switching differential.

Chapter 7.5 „C115 Switching behavior“

1.3

Differential value calculation

The TB/TW can calculate the differential value of 2 RTD temperature probes Pt 100 in 2-wire circuit.
The relay output K1 is active and the K1 LED is lit green as long as the system is within the valid range.

If the system leaves the valid range or exceeds the adjustable limit value AL, the relay output K1 switches off and the K1 LED is
lit red.
