System components
The target computers to be operated as well as the local console of the system are
connected to the CompactCenter X2 matrix switch:
 The target modules of the CATpro2 series connect the target computers to the
matrix switch.
The connection is carried out with category 5 (or better) twisted pair cables.
 Monitor, keyboard and mouse of the local console are directly connected to the
matrix switch.
After the installation, the target computers can be operated via the local and the IP
console of the system.

NOTE: In addition to the local console, you are provided with a virtual console
within the IP network.
The Java client of the KVM matrix system and the provided G&D IP-Console Client
software enable you to operate the virtual console.
