Installation
The installation is can be carried out by simply plugging cables.
Required accessories
One or two category 5 (or better) twisted pair cables to connect the matrix switch
to one or two local networks.

At first, follow the descriptions on the next pages to connect the target computers
to the target modules:
Connecting the target modules to the matrix switch
Use a category 5 (or better) twisted pair cabling to connect the Transmission inter-
faces of the individual target modules to a CPU interface of the matrix switch.
IMPORTANT:
When applying the recommended K-C7/LD-x cable, the distance
between a target module and the matrix switch can be up to 15 metres with auto-
matic video tuning or up to 30 metres with manual adjustments.
When applying a different cable, the distance depends on the quality of the cable!

IMPORTANT:
The CATpro2-DVI-Audio target module provides two Trans. interfaces.
Only connect one of the target module‘s Trans. interfaces (see page 25) to this
matrix switch!
