Use snap ring pliers to attach a snap ring to one end of the
nose gear axle.

Slide the axle into position, then place a wheel collar on the
axle.

Slide a wheel collar on the nose gear wire. Insert the wire
through the bracket, then place the steering arm on the wire.
The top of the wire will be flush with the top of the steering
arm. Slide the wheel collar against the bracket to keep the
nose gear from moving up or down.

With the wheel parallel to the fuselage centerline, position
the steering arm so there is 1/2 inch (13mm) between the
fuselage and outer hole of the arm. Tighten the setscrews so
they leave marks on the gear.

Fit the wheel in the wheel pant, then slide the axle through the
wheel. Before sliding the axle through the opposite side of the
wheel pant, slide a wheel collar on the axle. Once the axle is in
position, attach the second snap ring to secure the axle.

Attach the nose gear bracket to the firewall using the
hardware listed. The boss on the bracket will face the bottom
of the fuselage.

Remove the steering arm and wheel collar from the nose gear
wire. Use a flat file to make flat areas on the nose gear where
the setscrews left marks on the wire.

Secure the lower wheel collar on the nose gear wire. Apply a
drop of light machine oil to the wire.
