The Hardware Menu

The Command Read data in the Hardware Menu – temp-gard

Use this command for reading measurement data and temperature curves which are
saved on a temp-gard SRAM card, and for saving them under a name of your choice on
the hard disk of your computer. This will allow you to reopen this file for analysis or for
protocol printing whenever it may suit you.

Next to the temperature data values measured, the name of the template that was used to
prepare the measurement is saved on the SRAM card. The program will use the name of
this template to allocate the desired parameters to the measurement, such as oven
settings, threshold values, tolerance and reference curves etc..

Of course, this template and all its settings are also available when the SRAM card is
being read on the same computer, which was used for preparing the card for the
measurement. All that remains for you to do is enter the missing parameters that were not
yet known before the measurement.

If the SRAM card was prepared on another computer and the saved template does not
exist on yours, you must first select a template created on your computer which has the
greatest possible compatibility with the measurement data values.

Do not worry, you only have to make sure that the number of sensors is correct. All other
mistakes you might possibly make here can be undone. Just select a template, which you
think is pretty similar. If necessary, you can change it any time you like.

After reading the data, the Save As dialog box will automatically appear to ensure that
the data values are really being saved on your hard disk. Please enter a practical name
here for your measurement so that you will be able to quickly find it again later.

The software will automatically suggest a name and directory for the measurement.
Please check if they suit your method of working and change them if you do not like the
suggestions.

When the data values are saved on the hard disk, the program will switch to the general
page in the setup notebook, asking you to add the information required that was not yet
known when the template was created.
