The Command gradient-oven in the Hardware Menu

Use this command for controlling the BYK-Gardner gradient-oven.

You only have access to this command if a temperature curve is available, i.e. you must
have loaded a measurement with at least one sensor.

Select the sensor with the temperature curve you want to send to the oven via the serial
interface. Do not remove the markings in the options box Send to g-oven unless the
curve has already been sent at an earlier point of time. Otherwise, the comparison
between the set and the actual value might bring about misleading results.

Then enter a Sensor name for the curve received – that is the actual curve.

In the Operate box you can determine the intervals in which the actual curve of the oven
shall be read and compared to the set curve. For this purpose, a window will appear
showing both temperature curves, the set and the actual curve. This window can be
operated in the same way as the ordinary chart page of the program.

Start the process with the Send button, even if you do not want to send a curve.

Please note that while your program is in the process of oven controlling, you can still
continue using it for normal work such as reading or analyzing other measurements,
because the whole communication with the oven is running in the background.
