But of course, you can also switch to the other pages in this notebook, for example, to
change the oven settings or sensor names for this measurement. The software will let you
know when you have made a change that has not been saved yet.
If you want to look at the curves, the temperature profile or the data values analysis
results, simply switch to the respective screen page.
The Command Store Setup in the Hardware Menu – temp-gard
Use this command to prepare a temp-gard SRAM-card for a measurement.
First, please load or select a template, which already contains as many settings of the
measurement planned as possible.
Please note:
Comments regarding the measurement, oven settings, the selection of tolerance and
reference curves and even the critical threshold values are of no importance to the
instrument and can be changed later.
Attention
The number of sensors or the selected sampling rate, however, cannot be changed
afterwards without having to repeat the measurement.
You should therefore be particularly careful when entering data in the acquisition setup
page of the setup notebook.
The Command Format SRAM-card in the Hardware Menu – temp-gard
All BYK-Gardner SRAM cards are preformatted ex factory and ready for immediate use.
Replacement cards or defect SRAM cards, however, must be formatted with the Format
command. During the formatting process, the cards are prepared in such a way, that not
only the temp-gard instrument but also the temp-chart software can read and write data
on the card.
If an SRAM card cannot be formatted with the temp-chart software, or produces an error
message in the temp-gard instrument, the card needs to be formatted with MS-DOS.

Determine the name of your card drive (utilizing the Explorer or the command general
in the option menu of the temp-chart program)

Klick on the Windows start key and select the option MS-DOS entries in the drop
down menu item programs

Switch to your hard drive C: by entering cd.. and confirm by pressing the enter key
x
Type the command FORMAT F (resp. the name of your card drive) and confirm by
pressing the enter key
x
Insert the SRAM card into the card drive and confirm again
