Connecting the Local Console


To connect the local console to the UCON-IP system, proceed according to the
following installation steps:

Connect the mouse to the PS/2 mouse port.


Connect the keyboard to the keyboard port.

Connect the monitor to the monitor port.

Connecting to an ISDN Device

If you want to access the UCON-IP via ISDN then you have to connect the
UCON-IP to your telephone system.

To do so, use a CAT-x-based patch cable. Insert one end (RJ45 plug) into the
ISDN interface of the UCON-IP and the other end (RJ45 plug) into an SO bus
(protocol type EURO-ISDN) of your telephone system.

2.3

Network Interfaces


You can access certain network functionalities indicated in the following using
the network interfaces located at the back of the CATCenter.

Configure the CATCenter network

LDAP, Active Directory and RADIUS authentication.

Time adjustment using an NTP server

Sending log messages to a Syslog server

Firmware updates and backups


The CATCenter Xview software is used for the tasks listed above. This software
is described in a separate manual!
