3.1.1

Defining the Gateway

The standard gateway must be defined so that the CATCenter X8 can be
reached from all parts of more complex networks.

To do so, use the

UP ARROW

and/or

DOWN ARROW

keys on your keyboard

or the mouse to select the entry GATEWAY in the NETWORK MANAGEMENT
submenu and then press

ENTER

. The following window opens:

F2: Save

Now enter the IP address of the gateway on the gateway row. To do so, use
either the

right arrow / left arrow

keys or the

TAB

key to move to one of the

four fields. Press the

ENTER

key to activate edit mode in each individual field;

the font color changes to yellow.

All editing tasks carried out up to this point are saved by pressing

Press

ESC

to exit the menu without saving the changes you have made. If you

choose to do this, a warning message is displayed.

Press
F2 to save and exit
ENTER to exit without saving
ESC to cancel

F2 : Save and exit
Enter : Exit without saving

ESC: Cancel

Press the

key to permanently save your changes. You then return to the

NETWORK MANAGEMENT submenu.
