DANGER!
Danger of death caused by electric current
Upon contact with live parts, there is a direct
danger of death.
■
The instrument may only be installed and mounted by skilled personnel.
■
Operation using a defective power supply unit (e.g. short circuit from
the mains voltage to the output voltage) can result in life-threatening
voltages at the instrument!
■
Before installation and mounting the digital indicator ensure the power
supply is disconnected.
6.2.1 Wiring the digital indicator
■
The connection terminals of the digital indicator are designed for cable connection
from above. The connection lines must be inserted from above and be tightened with
the terminal screws.
■
While wiring, the cables must not be laid near alternating current sources or load
cables in order to prevent disturbances from outside.
■
Do not connect mains voltage to sensor input. Make sure the voltage supply does not
interact with the sensor.
■
While using switching outputs, use an external load relay if necessary, in order to
protect the built-in relay from being overloaded.
■
This instrument does not have built-in switches, overpressure protection or a fuse.
Therefore, it is necessary to build these into the circuit outside of the instrument.
(Recommended fuse: Slow-acting fuse, rated voltage AC 250 V, 2 A).
■
Use thermocouples and compensating cables in accordance with the sensor-input
configuration.
■
Use resistance thermometer in 3-wire version, which is in accordance with the input
specifications of the digital indicator.
■
Use only solder-free cable lugs with insulated sleeving. The cable lugs must be
suitable for M3 size screws in accordance with the following table.
Ring cable lug
Fork-type cable lug
