Faults

Reasons / measures

Flasching on the PV display:

Sensor burnout with input configuration for voltage signal (DC 1...5 V) or

current signal (4 ... 20 mA). Check the correct connection of the sensor to the

connection terminals and the connecting wires.

The measuring input is checked as follows:

Voltage input (DC 1 ... 5 V)

Load the measuring input with a defined signal of DC 1 V. If the digital indicator

displays the scaled start value, the input of the digital indicator is OK and there

is a fault in the sensor.

Current input (4 ...20 mA)

Load the measuring input with a defined signal of 4 mA. If the digital indicator

displays the scaled start value, the input of the digital indicator is OK and there

is a fault in the sensor.

If there is a fault in the connected sensor, replace the faulty sensor.

The PV display permanently

displays the scaled start value

Sensor burnout with input configuration for voltage signal (DC 0 ... 5 V, DC 0 ...

10 V) or current signal (0 ... 20 mA)

Check the correct connection of the sensor to the connection terminals and the

connecting wires.

The measuring input is checked as follows:

Voltage input (DC 0 ... 5 V, DC 0 ... 10 V)

Load the measuring input with a defined signal of DC 1 V. If the digital indicator

shows the measured value which corresponds to a signal of DC 1 V, the input

of the digital indicator is OK and there is a fault in the sensor.

Current input (0 ...20 mA)

Load the measuring input with a

defined signal of 1 mA. If the digital indicator shows the measured value which

corresponds to a signal of 1 mA, the input of the digital indicator is OK and

there is a fault in the sensor.

If there is a fault in the connected sensor, replace the faulty sensor.

The PV display screen is either

not normal or instable.

Wrong sensor or temperature unit set.

Select the correct input configuration (sensor type and temperature unit).

Unsuitable value for sensor correction.

→Entering the suitable value.

Incorrect specification of the sensor.

→ Check the specification of the sensor.

AC/DC effects on the sensor circuit.

→ Use an ungrounded sensor. An instrument near the digital indicator leads

to inductive disturbances. The digital indicator should distanced from the

source when mounted.

The PV display shows:

Internal memory is defective.
