3 Installation
The LwLVision System makes it possible to transmit keyboard, video and
mouse signals via 2-fibre optical fibre cable (single mode and multi mode fibre).
For this two systems are offered which are specialized in both optical fibre
cables:
 LwLVision(S) System for single mode fibre (9/125 µm)
 LwLVision(M) System for multi mode fibre (50/125 µm)
Both cables are equipped with the same kind of
connector (SC-Duplex connector) (see figure to the
left). So the installation of both systems is only different
in the use of the optical fibre cable.

These operating instructions describe the installation of
the LwLVision(S) system.
3.1 Information to the Optical Fibre Cable
In order to guarantee best possible transmission, the following information
should be considered:
 Inner optical fibre cables are to be unwind from the spool or ring in
such a way that no knees or twists can occur.
 The valid minimum values for baffle and bending radius are not to be
crossed.
 The valid maximum tensile strain values have to correspond to the
cable type tables.
 Optical fibre cables/lines are to be laid with special care. It is
important that the fibres are neither overstretched nor compressed
because otherwise long-term damages can occur.
 Cable lengths are to be selected in such a way that mechanical
influences are avoided and also later loads are minimized.
 Optical fibre cables/lines are to be stripped steadily from the drum
without slopes and jerk.
