Diagnostics
The DIAGNOSTICS form provides access for testing the keypad, edge
finders, and encoders.
Keypad Test
An image of the keypad provides an indication when a switch is
pressed, and released.
 Press each hard, and soft key to test. A dot will appear on each key
when it has been pressed indicating that it is operating properly.
 Press the C key two times to exit the keypad test.
Edge Finder Test
 To test the grounding edge finder, touch the edge finder to a part,
an astric (*) will appear above the left edge finder symbol. To test
the electronic edge finder, touch the edge finder to a part, an astric
(*) will appear above the right edge finder symbol. Depending on
which type of edge finder is used, dictates over which icon the * will
be displayed. The (*) shown on the display indicates that the edge
finder is communicating with the readout.
Display Test
 To test the display, press the enter key to set the display to solid
black, solid white, and then back to normal.
Encoder Signal Plot
This parameter allows the operator to plot the signal of each encoder.
 Select which encoder to be observed.
 Cursor to the desired input, and press ENTER.

As the encoder is moved, the signals of the A & B channels will be
seen.
